Something that isnt being talked about enough is brooklyns team defense. One of the reasons giannis struggled in the paint this game is because of the active hands and aggressive defense in tight windows. 8:50 that posture is great if you are defending the ball against a less agile player, allows you to harass the hell outta the guy, reaching in for steals without fouling, allows you to have your hips far away so to cut drives while still being close to harass the ball. Kobe, MJ and Pippen did it very often. Don't know why you would do it in the help tho

Harden told us about Giannis years ago. All he can do is run and dunk on the break. In the half court he doesnt have the handle and jumper to be effective.
@alejandroserrano77553 жыл бұрын
@Anthony Mercado Bruh, Giannis IS the superstar. At least he is supposed to be. Thats why people have been on him, because he isn't able to do what other superstars do. Curry, Luka, Lillard, Beal, they all perform well even when they have a shitty team. Giannis doesn't.

He ALWAYS does this. He gets frustrated and becomes unable to provide for his team.

@@alejandroserrano7755 I think that's his biggest flaw. His mental game needs work. I saw so many moments where he could've gone hard at the paint and probably would get a bucket, but he hesitates because it didn't work the first time. Play this team on 2k against this nets, use Giannis walking into a pick, or on the roll, or just driving into Blake. Blake is a problem, but you can get him fouled out and end up with 30.

Yeah after that comment it seems like in the playoffs he is easily slowed. He needs another star so he can focus on his paint presence and stop being a gaurd. The handles are good for fast breaks and specific offensive sets but as a primary ball handler he needs to stop
