Caruso turned a Meme into a Legend and his Finals performance proved he is worth the hype. Caruso has shown that role players in today's NBA are just as important as Superstars. Look at Lebron's numbers with Caruso on the court. Nobody, including D-Wade, Bosch, Love, Kyrie, etc. have played better with Lebron than Caruso. Even scarier is Caruso is now developing chemistry with AD. Caruso will only get better and get more time especially with Rondo opting out and not planning on resigning. The Carushow is a key piece to the 2020's Showtime Era.

The Lakers become trash on offense when Lebron is on the bench. This is a side effect of the Lebron system where Lebron conditions his teammates to rely on him for offense. The Lakers’s defense is not what it was at the beginning of the season. Their free throw shooting is pathetic and their three point shooting is inconsistent. The Lakers have been the healthiest team and not the best team. That’s why they’re the number one seed. If injuries didn’t exist and every team was healthy, the Lakers would not be the number one seed. They will be exposed come playoff time.

He may not light up the stat sheet but it's the little intangibles that he keeps contributing that leads to wins that matter - and with how he performs on the floor you can see he understands this and fully embraces this as his role. Just in my personal opinion, on a per dollar basis, his contract is one of those that has most bang-for-the-buck value on the Lakers.
