Yay, new series! This game lends itself extremely well to back seat gaming, so here we go :) :) I think you placed a bus stop at the far end of the city you placed a bus station in, but didn't link that stop up with a line. While I get why you ran the same line for all cargo, the part between the farm and the city only transports 25% of it's theoretical capacity (while the part between the farm and the food factory uses 75% of it's capacity). You will likely still be fine, but I'm sure that you would save a bunch by separating the lines. Also if the dumpers have higher capacity / are more efficient, you can fill the line with 50% "all cargo" vehicles and 50% dump trucks. All food with be sent back on the "all cargo" vehicles while the grain will be sent using all vehicles. Important is that 50% refers to the percentage of the capacity of the line, not the percentage of the amount of vehicles on the line. So say if dumpers are 10% more efficient and you would be able to transport all grain with 4 dumpers and 4 "all cargo" vehicles, you would need to switch that to 3 dumpers and 5 "all cargo" as otherwise the capacity for food would be less than 50% of the total capacity. Btw there is/was an oil well in the area you were building, and with the starting max loan when starting in 1980 I think you would had been able to afford a train line between the oil well, fuel refinery and oil refinery (and trucks to deliver fuel to cities). Would of course be better if there were another oil well near the oil refinery, but at least the line would have about 75% usage. That could also had been a line with a bunch of single track, at least initially. P.S. I try to rename bus stops and cargo dropoff thingies to the citys name (and what type of cargo is suitable to drop off there). I also try to rename stations at factories to the name of the factory. That way each line is self explanatory, and I usually don't name them. I wish that there were a setting to sort line names numerically rather than alphabetically, and/or a setting to always use three digit line numbers as default names ("Line 001" rather than "Line 1"). I generally don't reuse line numbers unless I replace a line with a line with a similar purpose but different mode of transportation (i.e. replace trucks with trains or so). That way the line number tells be approximately how far in my play through I placed the line. I find that actually easier to use than trying to have a naming convention.

A bballjo TF2 episode with heavy road traffic instead of trains sounds like blasphemy... But then, I'm up for something different!

@@bballjo OpenTTD is a business simulation game in which players earn money by transporting passengers and cargo via road, rail, water, and air. It is an open-source remake and expansion of the 1995 Chris Sawyer video game Transport Tycoon Deluxe.

@@astraldreamer331 never heard OpenTTD called that...but nevermind on that...no transport fever 2 is the successor to transport fever which is the successor to train fever. I'm sure OpenTTD had influence on the original.

imo TF 2 is only sim game that is better than its previous game CS 1 is better than CS2, lets hope FARM SIM 25 will be better than farm sim 22

@@BGNOO7 TF 1 and 2 are extremely similar in my experience...but I always go to TF2 when given a choice, so I suppose you're right. CS 1 and CS 2 are probably not a fair comparisons...cs 2 had very clear issues beyond the "game" aspect, and I've never played early cs1, but I heard it also had its issues, and the best part about cs1 are mods. give cs2 the 10 years cs1 had to get gud, and then we compare:) Fs22...I played it for 60h and just wasn't into it. I loved 17 and 19 (500+h each)...I was almost done with this franchise, but I did order 25...let's hope it's not awful, and maybe they gave life to seasons again... previews only talked a little about some seasonal effects that 19 already had, but got killed in 22, which to me stole the sole of the seasons immersion, and since they purged the seasons dev, there was no mod on the horizon...I did hear modding helped fs22 come back a little, but it was already too late for me...all to say, fs25 will hopefully make an appearance here :)

TPF2 is great because of the decent graphics and the possibility to create the most stunning landscapes and towns using mods. Also when it comes to trains, no simulation is even close to being this good. So if you want to create a model railway using tons of mods TPF2 is the best game there is! The economic simulation is a different thing. It is kept very simple and basic and doesn’t keep you engaged very long. I would wish for a game having the W/S mechanics with the TPF2 graphics and traffic simulation :)

@@niklasschmidt9552 I wish TpF3 will have bot competitors like in Transport Tycoon. Also " I would wish for a game having the W/S mechanics with the TPF2 graphics and traffic simulation" I'd add the industry side and the terraforming system of Captain of Industry... I would never quit the game lol.
