When Parish was with the Bulls in 1997, Parish said that in practice, Jordan came up to him and said"I could kick your ass." Parish said "I don't think so." After that encounter, Jordan never got in Parish's face again.

😂😂🎉😂😂 I had to play it back because I said holy moly this is old Chief with a bad ankle!! Celtics had no mercy with the Buils, Lakers, Pistons and 76ers. 76ers rivalry seemed to have gotten lost in history but it was fierce against Dr. J. Jordan learned from the good doctor and from Bird, how to get inside player's minds with trash talking. Chief is the man!! Those 3 played injured. No one could beat them even then until they just got too worn down after 6 straight trips to the finals, as you would 😂😂

Low post skills aren't being taught as much or as well. Guys in the past who operated well in the post were either physical behemoths or spent years refining their skills. The most famous clinic for learning how to play in the low post was the Pete Newell Big Man Camp, which ran for 35 years but has been gone for more than 10 years now.

@@aiconic10 Yes, and no. Outside shooting? Sure. Perimeter ballhandling? Yes. But it's like 7-footers today don't know how to take advantage of a mismatch down low because they don't know how to manufacture points with their backs to the basket. There's essentially nobody today with Kevin McHale or Adrian Dantley's skill set.

I remember when MJ mistook Robert Parrish for Will Perdue when the Chief became a Bull. Jordan tried to punk him in practice and Parrish reminded him that he was getting rings while Jordan was still in high school. And yeah, Parrish threatened to break Jordan in half (like he did to Bill Laimbeer) if he tried to do that again. Guess what? Jordan stayed in his lane after that. I don’t know what MJ was thinking by trying to do that to the Chief. Maybe he forgot how Parrish used to punk the bad boys in the mid to late 80s.

He was lanky and awkward at times. A bit of a clutz but he knew how to play basketball. Very fundamentally sound, rebounded and played defense, and had some real good low post moves and a sweet touch from anywhere inside the free throw line.
