Rodman and Shaq would constantly get into altercations while playing against each other. Shaq outweighed Rodman by over 100 pounds and much taller. Shaq was 7 foot 1 while rodman was only 6 foot 7 inches.

It's because Jordan believed that helping an opponent up was a sign of disrespect, I guess Pippen learned that from Jordan. Your team can help but if the opponent helps you up it's like they're rubbing it in, like a tea bag. in Shaq's rookie year, Jordan was driving the lane and was met by Shaq. Shaq didn't budge while Jordan was knocked to the ground. Shaq offered to help MJ up out of the utmost respect he had for him. MJ declined, got up himself and told Shaq "never offer to help me up." MJ stated before this he was indeed intimidated by Shaq. but by Shaq offering to help MJ up, MJ knew that deep down, Shaq was humble. MJ said the intimidation Shaq brought went away. Shaq later said the same of this incident and he learned by stating "you show respect by offering them none." it's the very words I live by whenever I'm in any sort of competition. basketball, video games, monopoly, whatever. we friends before and after the game. we shake hands before and after the game. while the game is on, get up yourself...don't expect me to do anything but put my foot on your throat if you down for too long. show respect by offering them none.

@@Thomas998822 all that help LeBron James gets...all that help Kareem got... all that help Curry had...all that help Kobe had...all that help literally anyone that ever won a ring in the NBA had 😐 Seriously what a dumb comment 😂 🤣 EVERYONE (except Chamberlain) had tons of help in winning because YOU DONT WIN ALONE. Why Jordan is regarded as the best is because of his stats on those teams 😂 🤣 same reason why LBJ is one of the best, why curry is one of the best, why KD is one of the best, etc. nobody is "riding" for no reason lmao just look at the stats recently i found out Jordan weny 9 YEARS without losing 3 times in a roll. In those 9 years he led on scoring, and was one of the leads on defence. If I'm not mistaking Jxmyhighroler calculated it to be 1 in 4 QUADRILLION of a chance of doing that feat. THATS why people love Jordan. Chamberlain DOMINATED pro basketball at 16! THATS why people love him. Nobody loves no on for no reason lol so just stop
@Thomas9988222 жыл бұрын
@@carrot7215 MJ is widely regarded as the best STRICTLY because the *Bulls* went 6-0. MJ had those stats because he was fortunate enough to come up under arguably the most consistently ideal set of circumstances EVER yes more so than ANY of those players you listed, and most people incorrectly think that's it's all because of MJ.(and yes he ALSO had those stats because I think he's one of the 3 best people who ever lived to ever even look at a basketball). I believe there are half a dozen MT Rushmore greats who could have accomished back to back 3peats, under the most ideal situations, WITH a 2 year REST, same as MJ did. I grew up watching MJ, I love MJ he's my #2 best all around player of all time. He's my #1 pure scorer, with elite defense, player of all time. But I also understand the nuance here. And I see how people act like MJs style of play and his skillsets and his methods are the barometer by which everyone should be measured STRICTLY, and fallaciously, just because the *Bulls'* Finals record is perfect. If one is going to skew the standards, to be measured by, by how MJ did it then of course the GOAT in there mind will ALWAYS be MJ. And after the standards are set correctly and everything is properly accounted for and MJ is still someone's GOAT then great 👍🏾 it can all just boil down to preference, but most people are biased af. Actually MJ is really 1a for me. There's also a 1b and 1c because there's a set of goats who can't really be fully compared to each other due to being in slightly different classes.
