@@russs7574 - The 80s NBA is credited with saving the league after the 70s drug scandals. Bird, MJ, Hakeem, Magic, the Mailman, etc., did most of the heavy lifting and transitioned into the 90s.I lost interest after the Dream Teamers started to retire. I do enjoy watching the old clips of Celtics, Knicks, Pistons, Pacers, with all the excellent passing and assists.

It’s because of on man named Ron Artest who decided he had enough of a fan who decided to be a dummy and dump a drink on him thinking Artest wouldn’t hit him back. That’s when the NBA starter to really change. Most of the greats played in the 90’s, but the 80s, with Dr J, and Larry Legend, those were the best years.

@@zaynes5094 nba is still entertaining. But the league is soft as cotton now. Barkley would rather watch hockey than the nba playoffs. He's not alone. I stand by my previous comments. When did I blame James?

Rodman is a legend .. he was tasked to guard best low post player of the opposing team to harass and bother him that caused him to lost his focus.

thats actually kinda a sign of respect, what charles said about dennis. the way rodman played the game. fact that this is most of what you can show about charles and dennis show that it wasn't mean spirited, both guys were fine with it and knew where they stood with each other. and I also think dennis totally baited charles. he knew he was gonna get hit and was just fine with allowing charles his elbow, just to get him in trouble. :)) I'll tell you, I did play basketball. And its as much a psychological game as it is a physical game. When you find that thing to get into your opponent head... you never ever let it go. But there's a trick to it. Don't push it too far, or it will break. There's a real art to it.

Man, I miss basketball so much. I dont know what the NBA is now, but it ain't basketball. You breathe on a player and its a technical. Defense is a myth. Everyone's all hugging and crap on the floor - competition has become myth. If you can't beat a team, just join them. 4 years left on your contract, no big deal! Force a trade! The NBA sucks now.

Barkley gave up that foul to send Rodman a message: I do not fear you. Fear me.

Rodman was the perfect type of player for that Bulls team.

I would have Dennis Rodman on my team anytime. Great hustle who was very tough and did the little things.

I'm pretty sure Suns won this game. From memory Elliot Perry hit a clutch shot and the Suns ended up winning. This was a rare loss for the Bulls they went 72 - 10 that season which was a record at the time.

The two greatest rebounders in NBA history?? At least outside of centers like Moses Malone?
