@@lululovlie6175 You have a point. One healthcare insurance scammer called me the other day, tried to guild-trip me for not responding to some letter or whatever that they "sent me". She was like "Because YOU DIDN'T RESPOND, that's why we're making this phone call". I responded: "Who's 'we', and I did not receive any letter." She then said: "No, the FLYER that we sent you that you didn't respond to!" I respond: "I didn't receive any flyer - I don't know what you're talking about." Then she hung up. If you have any stories, I'd be amused to hear them - those scammers are something else.

I told one of these people that my caller ID gave me her name and Address I told her I was an investigator for the government and to stay put that my agents would be there in a few minutes to take her into custody and bring her to New York to face charges, she cried her eyes out saying she couldn’t leave , I told her it was to late. That my agents were now at her door already. I really enjoyed this

Jim - Boston Ma. -the scammers are always learning and improving the scam and even raising the stakes. Two scammers here in Boston a while back called several people asking for unpaid taxes to IRS. They raised the bar of the scam by actually showing up at the door of several people they had called and that is how they got caught. Stay tuned all as the scammers are sadly getting more aggressive.

Also adds legitimacy to this kind of work that really should be done by the police. They leave behind a trail of misery and regret due to the vulnerability of more than a few. Once the money is gone, it can't be recovered.

These types of scams are very difficult for the police, because they are orchestrated from international locations (mostly 3rd world countries). The FBIs jurisdiction ends at the borders of the United States. Yes, they can work with Interpol and all the other international and local law enforcement agencies, but that is insanely difficult to coordinate (especially, as I said, when these scams are mostly perpetrated from 3rd world countries!). People should have some basic common sense! Yes, these scammers have gotten really good off late. But when you hear a thick accent and things don’t add up, alarm bells should immediately go off. They would for me! But at the very least, it should raise some suspicion! Simply contacting the social security office yourself is not all that difficult to do!!

I receive this calls all the time. Most of the time I just hang up but once in awhile I like to have a little fun with them. It can be really funny when you don't tell them what they want to hear. One guy called me the B word and said I would be arrested. I told him I was homeless and prison would give me a safe place to live, food etc.. He freaked out at me and I ended the call. Laughed so hard.

The measure of a successful encounter is the time spent on the call. If you can keep the scammer from getting upset while they are on the phone with you, that's an added win, because of the absolute meltdown the scammer will have after they hang up.

How do I apply to work with Judy? I can pretend to be her grandfather. We can start to argue in front of the scammer, demand that she give him her SS#, take sides, I think we can take this to the next level. Oh the games we could play! I can ask him to give the first number, and we can tell him if it's over or under. He gets three tries for each number. Make him believe he's making good progress, then claim to have made a mistake on an earlier number.

they tried to pull a similar scam on me, i'm now wanted by all the cops in Texas lol I don't know about you in the US but over here in Canada your social insurance number is for life, it cannot be changed nor suspended, it is like an income tax i.d. they never call us and for a case like that the police will investigate then arrest you if you are guilty. 🙄😂😂
