I did a quick Google search just to see how much money people like this Steel each year & I was amazed. This was extremely funny but at the same time a great way to show people the awful tactics that someone will use to steal Money from them. It seems so obvious for many of us in this day in age to never give our personal information out to strangers,...BUT- many of our elderly citizens & ppl with developmental disabilities fall for these disgustingly VILE scammers all the time! Just going along with this guy, I've seen you, and I've listened to how you handle these guy's, which is one of the highlights of my week when I get these opportunities to play with these dumbasses. And seeing you, watching what you do, and your intelligence. HELL if you wasn't already married I'd certainly propose. I know he has no idea about who he is talking to. This is one of the funniest scam calls I have heard, but as you say creepy and you did so well to keep him on the phone for so long and I am sorry to say it might be because you sound so nice, Richard sometimes sounded like Stephen Hawkings - "Why would I lie to you" . Thank you for this series, it was fun and sad at the same time that people will use these befriending techniques to scam people out of money.

Wonderful series of videos and extremely helpful for people who may otherwise get caught in a scam. There are a lot of different scams going on. My mother in law almost got caught in one on a dating site. The guy she was talking with formed a "relationship" with her. Said he was traveling but got stuck and needed $4000 to get home. The scammer got angry with her when she told him she couldn't send it. She almost did after that. Thank goodness she talked to us and we were able to give her some clarity on the situation. Just as "Richard" tried to do, many scammers will prey on emotions to reach their ultimate goal of stealing their victim's money.

My mom was scammed one time for just trying to buy some outdoor dog kennels for our 2year old puppies and after that we are very careful about what's on the internet the scammers only got $60. It makes me so angry that these scammers go after elderly people who have worked hard for there family and that are sick. I respect my elders.
