I was only a young child when this video was made and at the time we lived in Sydney. We moved to the Central Coast back in 2000 and, for the last 3 years, have lived in Woy Woy. I love it here and can definitely tell you one thing that hasn't changed since 1987 when the video was made--- you often still DO get the same cab driver more than once. I'm on first names terms with a lot of the guys, all of whom are pleasant and up for a chat.

2:08 - Some how Spike manages to catch a train from Wondabyne that pulls into Woy Woy from Gosford. An amazing feat ;-) I also like how at 2:38 he closes the V-set doors, despite them being semi automatic. Oh and finally, the bushland around Mullet Creek is definitely not Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. It’s in fact Brisbane Water National Park. At least he got the part about Brisbane Water not being anywhere near Brisbane. ;-)

I saw a pic of this station on Facebook. I would actually go there just to take some photos and look around, quite a nice place from the looks of it.

Go for the day and take a walk to the cave. Take a few hours and is hot in Summer so be prepared.

We have those shelters everywhere as bus stops in Canberra.

So true. I'm from NSW (near Woy Woy actually) and I too recognise those shelters as being Canberian. Though, Wondabyne hasn't had that shelter for years - it's now a standard looking train station shelter.

Wondabyne changed design now, according to a picture in wikipedia. but that white circle/blue room is actually like a bus stop, you can see some of those in Merrylands near the mcdonalds, by the way what is that documentary called? Tks.

Yes the bus stop is still there! You can also see some on the south coast, Albion Park has some that are similar!
