The 1980s was my favorite decade of Christmas telly growing up,...only fools and horses was always one of the highlights, ..along with some great shows and quizzes , hosted by some of tellys legends bob monkhouse, les Dawson, bruce Forsyth,...the two ronnies, russ abbot show and mike yarwood were firm favorites every Christmas,..along with bullseye, generation game, and bobs full house......add to that the snowman, top of the pops and the Christmas films ,...lt was great ,..miss those times with all the family, ... cherished golden feel-good nostalgic memories 5:38

i remember watching duck soup i taped it on VHS i now have it on dvd at that time the BBC in 1979 showed a series of Marx Brothers films the final film was A Day At The Races and guess happened the final reel was shown twice and there one almighty apology after wards the bbc themselves got Egg on their faces
