My first experience with the UK Passport Control at the Gare Du Nord Eurostar Station was good. The UK border officer, a lady in her mid 40-s i guessed was very friendly. She just asked me 3 simple questions like 1. Why are you coming to England? 2. How long you will stay ? When are you going back to Malaysia? Then, i answered directly to all the questions, then she stamped my passport and i was admitted into the UK. The whole process took less than 5 minutes.

I am an Aussie of Chinese descent. I visited England a few years ago. The immigration officer at Gatwick left me with no doubt that racial profiling was in progress. I saw a big not welcomed sign between us. I have no desire to visit that country again even though there are still many places of interest that I did not have time to visit then.

@erikjoe2007 They may be a little 'sharp' in their tone but I see no evidence they are racist. The UK is one of the most diverse societies on earth; over 300 languages are spoken in London alone. I know and am friendly with many Asians in my city and they have never had problems. Whenever I meet someone from another country, I always try and make them feel welcome. US Airport Security is a lot more hardline.

im not saying there aren't racists in the UK- unfortunately there are- but we have very strict legislation against it and generally speaking we are a tolerant society. Personally when I meet an international visitor I always try to make them feel welcome.

I’ve seen these two officers in other episodes and they cannot comprehend that many people don’t conform to their rigid habits ; they think that people only meet at formal functions, all friends have gone through formal introductions, including family history etc. Many of my friends in Thailand have little or no idea of the various countries that make up Europe and don’t do research before they go somewhere. I realise these two are doing their jobs but they often make poor judgements because of their shockingly narrow outlook.

Immigration officers were professional, nothing to complain. It is a cause for concern for Malaysians, the Malaysian passport is one of the remaining few commonwealth passports that doesn't require visa for admission into the UK and the EU. Lose that privilege and Malaysia will be deem a pariah state like so many commonwealth nations. The question now is why are people seeking to enter the UK illegally? Perhaps the lack of opportunities in Malaysia. Whoever that is in power must do something

First of all it is pretty suspicious how could this guy afford to go to London. Secondly, how could he escape from the Malaysian side immigration control. As you can see one of the sides of the passport is cut i.e. it is expired. Btw Malaysians are not only muslims but Malaysians are a diverse ulture who pride themselves on being open minded.
