For someone who was supposedly quite shy I loved Pat flirting with the presenter.

Believe it or not, he was quite the ladies man. Married twice whilst having a constant girlfriend on the side for several decades.

@@cheyennebrennan966Married twice? Troughton was just taking the method approach to playing the Doctor, albeit a bit too early in the timestream.

Well, that's one way for the new actor get in the roll as The Doctor; split personalities, temporarily amnisia and mood swings until they find how their Doctor shall act like.

Love how friendly Patrick was to other Doctors the same can't be said for Tom Baker

I don't know if he was rude to the other actors-I think he was just trying to distance himself from the role at that point so he could avoid being typecast. Kind of like Christopher Eccelston today

@@SJHFotoEccleston still plays the Doctor on Big Finish, so he's clearly not wanting to distance himself from the role. I think it would be more accurate to say he's distancing himself from certain BBC producers who made the behind the scenes a nightmare.

@@HOTD108_ My comparison to Tom Baker is apt for him because he did do Big FInish plays, but years afterward. Just like Tom-he did return, but much later

By casting a woman? Why?
@77JosephG77
@77JosephG77 2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanhindley174 nope, the fact that she's a woman isn't a problem. She's been shafted by having poor writers and producers. It's the lazy writing that pushes forward an agenda rather than have any suspense or interesting characters. Instead just poor humour that nobody laughs at and slapping the fans in the face. Just take completely rewriting the origin of the doctor? The BBC are so insecure about inclusiveness rather than actually sticking to years and years of source material. There was so many interesting ways they could have done it but nope, let's flog this dead franchise some more to make us appear as modern and trendy. Its pathetic.

@@ryanhindley174 isn't dead? It's just had its lowest ratings of recent and they've brought back Russel T Davies to try and salvage the mess its currently in. And, the agenda I already mentioned? The BBC are really insecure and trying too hard to be trendy and modern. They disrespected the source material and have lost a big chunk of the fan base as a result. Look at how popular it used to be before? Nobody in the recent series' can act and its cringe worthy listening to the crap they churn out.
