That's a lot of really interesting information! I was very surprised to learn that after welding it is hard enough that it doesn't need to be heat-treated again. I am also amazed at how you can straighten a cam out to .001" with that method, I'd always envisioned something like a press being used to do that! I imagine that you'll let the customer know that he'd better keep a closer eye on his lash lol Thanks a lot for posting these videos🙂

Please wear gloves and long sleeves TIG welding, your bare skin does not appreciate that intense UV at all. Good way to start skin cancer!

Why do you grind down the undamaged lobs to match the damaged lob? I'm sure you have your reasons, I just have no idea what they might be.

#1 we are putting our lobe designs on there cam, (can't do just 1), #2 we want every lobe to be in time and no runout (some damaged cams awere bent)
