We live only 15 miles from beautiful Peterborough Cathedral. We go there often. A wonderful place.

A privilege to sing on this recording as a bass. I seem to remember that Mr Gower received a letter from Keneth Leighton's widow, saying how the responses were sung exactly as he'd intended.

The "Armstrong" chant is actually by Peterborough's very own Haydn Keeton. And the "Ley" is by C H Lloyd. The Radcliffe is an absolute gem, and the best setting of these words I've ever come across.
