All I can say about the part where they cast off from the little pier of the sunless sea is wow. I mean, it's so close to how I pictured it. The oars going into that deadly calm, black water.

I watched this as a kid and this haunted me for ages. The whole mini series and whole scene has just had too much dread for me as a kid. Plus the pitch black setting and look of the earthmen scared the crap out of me

I saw this years ago, and at the time I was a bit surprised by Puddleglum's panic attack. For some reason, after seeing that, I remembered it from the book...but when I looked for it in the book, it wasn't there. It had been added for the movie, and though I like it, I'm not sure why they did that. Aren't memories a funny thing, though? XD

JumbaFan no Puddleglum’s panic attack wasn’t in the book, but it was added here, perhaps to crank up the tension.

how interesting. Eustace is the new Edmund, and Jill is the new Eustace. And Edmund was the new Professor (because in the Magician's Nephew, the Professor, aka Diggory, was the one who fought with Polly and woke up Jadis, and screwed up everything)

is Father time being asleep the reason time in Narnia and the time in Earth are set in different courses?

we are never given a reason but in the books we do see him wake

so keeping in mind all the children from all the books were there he wakes up and the book said only pol and eusdice know what this meant and then he talks to asland for a few moments and the world starts to end.

It is rather out of character for him, though...nothing is supposed to faze him. I wonder why they added that in after establishing him, like in the book, as such a level-headed person.
