I seem to remember from the book, when Aslan roared, the sun shook in the sky and a good deal of the wall of Experiment House fell down. Then he lay down in the gap with his back to England and his face turned to his own lands. A bit of a letdown that Jill, Eustace and Caspian didn’t get to give the bullies a well deserved thrashing. I know bullies are cowardly but not that much surely, that they ran off immediately? Did they think dynamite had blown part of the school wall down? There were no big flames present!

I remember this version from my childhood! I have not seen it in years. I prefer it to the later 2005 version, which I guess most of us feel like that about our childhood films. This has a gentle, cosy, magical slightly unsettling charm to it.

For anyone not familiar with the Books of Narnia , there is a good reason the Professor smiles at the end. That can be answered in the Book - The Magicians Nephew . Consider this story the first book of the Chronicles of Narnia. I will not spoil anything and just say that it’s a great story that deserves its own movie.

I remember this being on TV in the 80s, and the commercial said, "Two sons of Adam! Two daighters of Eve! Four thrones!" And I thought it was about Adam and Eve's kids, and that the two boys must he Cain and Abel. I begged my mom to let me watch it, but she made me read the book first. She taped it and let me watch it after I read it. This scene used to crack me up! I don't know why. Edmund is dumb and the witch is crazy!
