I find it so strange, he played the character in Happy Valley so well that every time he appeared on screen he made me feel sick....isn't that a sign of a great actor, one who plays their role well?

Not really as it’s acting and you drift out of character. I didn’t find him as intimidating in series 3 - Rhys Connah was epic!!!
