BBC Jane Eyre 2006' Main & Return Theme

Since, at least as far as I know, the soundtrack of "BBC Jane Eyre 2006" by Robert Lane has not (yet) been released I thought I should share with you the main theme of these great TV miniseries and a theme that I like the most, which plays while Jane Eyre, sitting by the river, decides to return and seek for Mr. Rochester after having heard his voice. The photos are almost randomly projected and some of them repeatedly, mostly because I'm not acquainted with windows movie maker or any other similar movie maker. After all it is the music that matters.
I recommend this version of Jane Eyre highly!! A great novel filmed most greatly!

One of the best themes I have ever heard. The semi-Gothic and semi-Victorian atmosphere of the book is so aptly covered in this theme. BBC Masterpiece Theatre is a gift to all literature lovers but this one is one of the best.

God the proposal scene was my favourite in the whole series. Ruth Wilson’s acting was so amazing, I was in tears! ‘And if god had blessed me with much more beauty and wealth I would make it as hard to leave me as it is for me to leave you’ 😭😭

This version of Jane Eyre is just incredible! Amazing acted, the soundtracks are wonderful and there is so much passion in every details, in their eyes, in their voices, and with just a little tuch of hands... it's the most beautiful version, in my opinion. The first time I saw this adaptation I was completely overwelmed... I saw it in Italian because I'm italian but I so fall in love with it that I brought the original DVD edition in english... and with the original voices of the actors it's just perfect *__* ❤❤

I read the book when I was in 5th grade. I read it repeatedly until it was dogeared. So I've memorized the lines. This version surpasses all others, although I do like the one with Samantha Morton. This is by far the best Rochester and Jane!! Love the music of this one.

I am in love with Mr Rochester. I was so happy you put the piece in where he calls her name. I love his voice so much. Jane Eyre is my favourite classical romance novel. 5 stars and favourited!

In May 2009 I made contact about this with "COOL Music Ltd" whose client is Rob Lane and they answered me as followed: "The BBC own the copyrights to Jane Eyre, so it would be their decision as to whether they release a soundtrack in future for this series. All that I can suggest is that you contact the production company concerned, in this case the BBC, in the hope that they decide to make the soundtrack available as a commercial release." I haven't contacted BBC yet though...

@Merahzel ... Me too.. I absolutely agree with you and love this adaptation of Charlotte Bronte's masterpiece.. Toby Stephens and Ruth Wilson ARE Mr Rochester and Jane Eyre for me.. But I have as a very close 2nd place in my heart for Ciaran Hinds and Samantha Morton too.. +Rebecca karen Sorry, but I don't have the rest of the soundtrack. I just recorded the main theme and another theme that I also like very much of the movie's music. I don't think it is possible to record the whole soundtrack, because, except for the music, one would have to listen to the voices of the actors and the other environmental sounds of the movie, which I believe would spoil all the enjoyment. Again, it's a pity that the soundtrack of the movie has not been released.

Yes, I feel the same way. I tried recording it, and yes the voices do take away much of the beauty of the music. But I'm desperate to get the music. Is there some way I can buy the movie score though? As far as i know, it's not available on i tunes. Oh! I love the soundtrack when they go shopping to Millcote! Though it's so short, its so beautiful. I really wish there was some way to buy the music. Do you think there are special shops that sell soundtrack's of movies?
