It would be cool if they temporarily used the 1999 headline vamp, opening titles and the 1999 countdown all at once

What’s memorable about the very first version of the countdown heard here is the synths, the syncopated drumbeat at 0:13 and the rising and falling noises heard from 0:21. In later years, the dramatic effect in the countdown was achieved by using more powerful strings and bass. However, this countdown sounds less powerful. Instead, the dramatic effect is achieved by the synths which get louder at 0:46 towards the end of the countdown. 0:55 kinda expected the 1999 headline bed to play after hearing the 1999 countdown 🤣

Ahhh, I know. It's a shame they didn't change out all the music, that would have been the cherry on the cake 😄

@@uknewsthemes I know there is a “2024 countdown” which is basically the 2013 countdown with the 1999 synths and the 2005/2006 ending mixed in Personally, some things I wished they included in this 2024 countdown is the funky synths from the 2006 countdown and the rising and falling noises in the 1999 countdown

Hopefully we can hear that 2024 countdown on air soon! The 2006 countdown is probably my favourite (either that or 2008), so it would definitely have been nice to have some more elements of that mixed in
