I'm not Catholic but I do remember when this happened. I was coming back from holidays and we had stopped off in a pub on the way home for dinner. The TVs in the pub were showing the news and we were all sitting there watching it while having our dinner. I was in secondary school at the time and we got a day off (supposedly to watch the funeral), but it had been a hard week for us in school as well as a student and our vice principal at the time had also died. We had a Mass for them and everything (Catholic school)

I remember when St. John Paul II died. I was working at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Nutritional Service Aide when we lost him. I was home when the news broke and I called my mom on my cell phone.

Very true. It is an insult to Almighty God who alone has the right to be called holy. This report in reality shows that he was suffering from the effects of sin. Unless he repented of his sins and turned to Christ instead of worshipping mary he actually went to hell that day.
