Can't lie, as an Ivorian we guy's need to learn from our Ghanian brother, every election is a lesson to Africa. No drama, No recounting, No "the ruling party swallow my jollof, so I'm calling on the youth to take over the street and create anarchy", You guys are the definition of the Chill Guy in terms of conducting a civilized election. But wassup with your football chaley ????

@@nenemens the problem with the "No drama, No recounting, No "the ruling party swallow my jollof,..." is that there is also no thought processes. Ghana had the opportunity to become a true middle income society but was stymied by corruption, incompetence and ego. The class of "Rulers" that the Ghanian people keep recycling are literally 90% of the reason for the failures(Remember striking oil? How is that working out for you all?). Yet, the Ghanian people will vote and re-vote for the same corruption, the same incompetence and the same failed Politicians again and again. Then complain and rally for change. How insane is that? Until Ghana voters wake up, wise up and stop being lead around by a string in their noses by greedy politicians then they will always be begging for someone else to come and rescue them. Is it because they all lack the intelligence to figure out how rise up by themselves? That is the question.

I find it amusing that you think that 'Ghana and its people are the rock of democracy in Africa' - far from it. This is the second time Mahama has been supposedly elected (the same also goes for Nana) - both were ineffective the first time and Nana - also the second time, so l expect Mahama will be the same.

Those saying we will cry nu, we were already crying with the current government. So far as we cry less than now, it is an improvement. No government is perfect so we have to be realistic. Yes, every party go chop small but this current government were totally disrespectful with it - they chopped and chopped in our faces! They destroyed things TOTALLY! I was a staunch NPP supporter in 2016 and their good work made me vote again in 2020! But this year? Lai lai! Unless I'm blind and deaf

That old style of trying to outdo each other with lofty promises, borrowing hefty loans to fulfill said promises, won't work. The country is in deep distress. Ghanaians will empathize when they see the cleanup from the seat of power itself: cutting the V8s, cutting bogus ministries, cleaning up galamsey, corruption....Then the people will understand that for a while, 24 hr power won't be possible, free shs too. Sorting of municipal waste should be introduced in Africa, recycling into paper, plastic, glass, metal, ash, organic wet food waste, black bin waste that cannot be separated and this black bin waste should be collected by a garbage truck and newly built waste incinerators in Africa, it is necessary to introduce a deposit system in Africa - bottle dispensers, modeled on those in Poland and Romania

Hey living overseas but being from Ghana I would say when it comes to elections it’s more peace than Chaos. I mean u get your lil skirmishes here and there but overall it’s so peaceful it’s just a blessing . Now if the Ministers of state and MPs will use the funds on projects instead of pocketing it we’ll actually see some change .

The way I see it, NPP has become comparable to the Conservatives and NDC like Labour. From the last 2 years especially, it seems NPP have been greedy and not had the welfare of the people and the next generation to come at heart. That is why just like the Conservatives, they've been voted out in 2024. When there is a global economic crisis, that has been looming for the last 4 years, you don't inflate the comfortable lifestyle of your ministers even more and make your citizens pay the price or suffer the brunt of it. It means you don't value us as your people

Let's stop being party loyalists. In 2016 and 2020, I was for NPP. 2024, Mahama should pleaseee come and rescue us. At least, I can use my brain to reason that if he is not good for anything koraa, Mahama is good at containing and managing a situation rather than worsening it to the degree this current government have. As someone tweeted, we didn't vote for Mahama so kenkey will go down from 5 cedis to 3 cedis. We voted for him so it will not go up to 10 cedis.
