Tasmin herself says that this is her most favourite playing of this beautiful piece and I can see why. I am moved very deeply each and every time that I hear it.

I wish, I dearly wish, that a recording of this concert would surface with HiFi sound. I was eleven when I recorded this. If I'd appreciated the value then as I do now, things would be different.

Why no more comments than this? Little performs one of the very best versions of this classic. It is full and majestic, with so much richness in her phrasing. Absolutely wonderful! And yes, many technical flaws in this recording, but the soul of the performance is clear and breathtaking.

Thanks. :) I mean, yes, the sound is rough. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. I post these videos for the performance - and I really think this is a good performance, worth hearing, even in wartime sound quality. Someone out there was surely recording this concert with a better VCR than I had in 1995. I always hope that one of those good people will get in touch with me.

James Stuart It is the BBC Symphony Orchestra with my friend, the late Keith Gurry in the second violins. When I asked him what happened to the two triangle entries, he shrugged and said, Tasmin thought that was hilarious. alan
