Thank you for this wonderful and fascinating story. The food cooked sounded beyond delicious. Thank goodness Gemma escaped from a life of being fed, even though he said she could come and go as she pleased, I don't think he would have been mentally fit to honour this arrangement. I loved it all and especially the ending of her next beginning. Xxxx ❤

why do you people who comment always give away the basic story. You spoli it. We don’t need your opinion. You sound soppy and stupid like you think it really happened.

This was a delicious play! The food sounded delightful & i like nothing better than eating wild herbs & fish & other foods collected from the forests only i don't care for meat much. I thought the play was very light & dark, but as others have commented, well balanced & well acted & written. Anything that becomes obsessive has a dangerous edge. It gets back to human kinds need to reconnect to its roots & live on the land & forage for sustenance. It was a good play with a tight nucleus & nicely feathered along the edges, whoever wrote this knew their subject, to make a play about something quite small & inconsequential yet able to expand & tease out to make an enjoyable interlude. Thank you for this, i enjoyed it alot Regards 🇬🇧👧

Really enjoyable. This drama has a lovely tempo and clarity of production. The strength of Gemma's main character carries the listener swiftly but gently through the uncluttered story to a suitable and pleasing conclusion. Highly reccommended. P.S. Cheers Arch. Good to find another onslaught of uploads from your stable - I've been rather distracted by Tom Sharpes audio books of late*

Enjoyed this story especially as it took me back to a beautiful autumn day in Piemonte where we went truffle hunting with a dog which also had to be restrained from damaging the black gold. 😂😂

I think you mean YOUR Lord. I'm pagan. I take it you are 100% vegan then. Surprised you can accept the idea of drinking "The Blood of Christ" at your cheery Sunday gatherings. Eh eh eh ¿?

@Maria Camilla Thiago - cheers for that - made me laugh. It was a gut-reaction to the typical arrogance I generally only get from Christians determined to push "our Lord" down everyone else's beliefs. As for bullying ; my comment at least made sense without resorting to open abuse - as I see you have also directed elsewhere. You need to have a chat with yourself Maria. Having studied all religion - much philosophy - ongoingly , all new evidence concerning the true origins of modern man ; I realise i don't need any deities sitting on the top of my pole. If everyone concentrated on supporting the planet "WE" wouldn't need to pray. Peace to you*
