Wtf is it with people ripping old people off, I work in tech and have been to loads of elderly people’s homes to install and repair systems, Internet, all tech really and I even do one on one lessons as it’s important for the elderly to be connected and not left out and it’s never entered my head to rip them off, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself, these con artists are disgusting.

He let this guy talk at the end but just about every other time, when the person is trying to talk Matt talks over them. These people should be allowed to try and defend themselves. A lot of the time they dig themselves in deeper so they do his job for him.

On the note of the phone issue they tell you what memory is, anything with memory digitally will always be less unless you don't have any os not to mention any future updates it has has a 16 gb hdd you wouldn't expect them to mention how much of the processor or ram was free because with updates it's always going to change and would even depend on if you bought day 1 or 2 years later

That's not a huge problem... the storage has to hold the software, it would be impossible for Samsung to make a phone that had exactly the amount of storage you bought. People don't know shit and expect to get their way.

Operating systems aren't bloatware, neither is software that drives special features that come as part of the phone (i.e. the IR TV remote). Bloatware are third party programmes the user does not want and has no concievable need for, but which are nonetheless pre-installed on a piece of hardware you buy (say a laptop from PC World) by either the manufacturer or more often than not - vendor, in exchange for a kickback from the software companies. These are usually a massive rip off for the consumer (should they choose to extend their "free trial"), they don't work remotely as well as they should, they make the device slow and probably steal the user's data (in the nastiest of cases - even after being uninstalled). That's bloatware!

I can understand older people not understanding how storage works, but anyone under the age of 40 that doesn't have prior knowledge, or the brains to research why your actual free storage is less than the specified amount is an idiot. The simple fact is your phone *does* in fact have 16gb of storage. However, after formatting, setting the file system, installing the OS and adding any other relevant "behind the scenes" data, the amount of free space you have left over will be significantly reduced.

Actually the Phone Lesson is - Dont Buy a Phone with only 16g's when your old phone had the similar storage cap. Also, i checked that Australian Model Galaxy and it has Expandable Memory. Goof 🤪 only needed to buy the 32g ver or 16g because hes cheap and add an sd card - Lesson Learned.

It was 2013, general public opinion was kind of behind on sd cards back then. Back when I worked in phone and laptop repair (2013/14), you wouldn't believe how many people were astounded by micro sd cards. Including a guy and his girlfriend who didn't believe that something so small could have storage and kept saying he wasn't falling for the scam and refused to even try one.
