While her operation and recovery could have resulted in the drastic loss of weight, previous puffiness due to Odema now subsided; and she could have had filler injected into her cheekbones which the months leading up to Christmas had become sunken with age. However, how is it that her thick layered hair she's worn the last year +, which in the manipulated photo still is thick and layered, now is thinner and all one length, no layers? That is odd. You don't have to feel unwell to have major surgery!! I had a hysterectomy, around same age as Kate, and tumor (benign) as big as a pear, but never had one symptom. I was totally surprised, but I was in good hands, the surgery went well, and decades later I have never had one repercussion. She will be FINE. Everyone relax!! You lose a lot of strength and energy, but when as young and healthy as Kate, it comes back quickly after you take the 6 weeks off to recuperate. Those were my instructions, too. And it's not like she doesn't have children, and who would want more after 40!! I'm sure she is fine emotionally, too.
