Harry was a Bradfordian like most of my family. I grew up watching Look North and always loved the banter between him and the other presenters. Smashing bloke and will be sorely missed. His legacy and his voice lives on as he mention's all of the places the buses stop at in and around Harrogate.

RIP Mr Gration. I remember seeing Harry on South Today back in the mid-late 90s. Always remembered his excitement when he did the football results; most news presenters present them in a 'neutral' fashion, however Harry would make a 'happy sigh' or pass comment when a good goal was scored. I guess he was allowed to do this by the South Today 'heads' due to his sporting background. Sad to hear he passed.

I never knew Harry Gration was ever with BBC South. He's spent most of his long career with the BBC Look North team in Leeds, with a break when he worked for the Rugby League authorities.

Yep he moved from Leeds to BBC South Today in 1995 then he moved back with the BBC Yorkshire team in 1999.
