Don't you just love whenever something goes wrong on the BBC, you got some announcer politely apologizing for what happened on air? The most British thing ever. It certainly NEVER happens here in the US. Whenever something similar happens, it just goes to an image of the TV station's logo.

The problem seemed to be much worse on the news channel, it took several minutes for sound to return, which they basically did by putting up BBC One on air. But on the internet feed of the news channel, the tones continued for over 25 minutes.

Going out on a limb that he's actually saying Riz Lateef - long-time presenter for BBC London, a regional news segment that airs directly after News at Ten. Regional continuity announcer usually mention both the national and local presenter going into the bulletin. Heard on BBC One NI earlier - "The BBC News at Ten now, with Sophie Raworth in London, and Jo Scott in Belfast".

Thats weird I never had that BBC apology message here in Wales. It was all the tones and the tone continued until Huw said welcome to the Ten O'Clock News after the the news theme stopped suddenly. If someone has the Wales Version it has a more servere version than this one, lol! Thanx for the upload though :-)
