Is there any reason why BBC TWO Scotland always used network continuity announcers instead of opting out for their own ones for almost every junction as seen in this clip? Considering BBC TWO Wales and Northern Ireland used full-time continuity announcers in their respective areas to cover all junctions by the early 2000s, although they too started off providing continuity around regional opts in Wales and Northern Ireland, taking the network the rest of the time themselves. Anyway, from early 1980s until 2015 - BBC Scotland in Glasgow would only provide continuity around Scottish opts on BBC TWO Scotland, instead relying on the network feed nearly all the time, but since 2015 Glasgow started using full-time continuity announcers who would cover all junctions (mostly from 10am until around midnight, although sometimes the Glasgow CA would be on air earlier than 10am or on the nightshift they would stay on until well after 3am for any opt outs etc) until Sunday 18th February 2019 when BBC Two Scotland closed down and replaced with the BBC 2 English service and the new BBC Scotland Channel a week later.
