i went to watch the fireworks in person in 2013 i think it was, and ngl, it was awful. i think it was because i was viewing from the side bridge but you just couldn’t see anything and obviously you couldn’t hear the music because there was too many people around x

Oh Callum, i think it's safe to say you don't speak for anyone in the UK. I'm sure there are some that dislike London but that goes for anywhere in the world. Every city has it's bad sides but as someone that lives in the north west of England i can say London is place that can offer visitors whatever they want, from the educational to quality nights out and everything in between.

That was an impressive display, and while i never went out last night like normal, i stayed at home with my dog and by 10pm the polish folk in our town set off lots of fireworks, and then at midnight there was even more fireworks as the british celebrated the new year, i stood on the green outside my house watching the fireworks going off in all directions, and hugging neighbours who i know well and those i dont know so well, we all came together momentarily, and for me it was the best way to see in 2017.
