@@spig021 Could be. Another time on BBC News After Noon, in the early 1980's, a presenter from BBC Look East temporarily covered for a regular newsreader of News After Noon who was on holiday

I have heard of Michael Cole and Judith Stamper. They were great presenters on News After Noon. Michael would continue to present in the absence of Richard Whitmore and occasionally alongside him.
