For overseas listeners the song is lamenting over someone's untimely death,it speaks to a close friend/a 'brother' being shot. This type of music is often referred to or likened to 'gwijo' there's several clips of talented school children singing in a similar choir like style. Daliwonga,is a star in his own right,in the genre of amapiano with chart topping songs like 'abo mvelo'. Both him and his choir are of south african origin❤🇿🇦 Love from Botswana 🇧🇼

I had relationships with three people who lost their lives to gun violence in South Africa, friends and family. This song really unearthed the pain and I'm actually in tears. I'm even scared for the lives of these wonderful young men with how dangerous our country is becoming and hope this song doesn't in anyway prophecy their futures. Let it inspire us to rally together and step up the fight against criminals who continue to rob us of our loved ones and make our communities safe and naturing environments for all our people.
