In borrowing from his thought, let's consider that what is, is what has been said about the continent that we found insulting, disrespectful, etc I invite us, we who complain to consider who we are, what are our own truth in relation to what has been said about Africa in order to determine whether what is contemptuous of Africa and Africans is what we are, or whether it is what is said about Africa that is contemptuous? If the life that is born in Africa suffers from we who are complaining, then our complains have not a moral ground.

I don't blame Europe and American for looking down on African. If only we could strive to be self reliant, non of these things would happen. For counties like Ghana, sometimes I wonder if independence actually helped us. This is not what Nkrumah envision for us. We depend on foreign aid and funding for everything we do. Are we really independent. And have we began taking steps towards it?. I don't think so.
