You wouldn't want it to get stuck. Can youi magine any modern Locksmith being able to fix it? Maybe a Blacksmith! If there are any of those still around!

I remember well the clothes show awards, as Jeff Banks read out… And the award for “most denim in a popular tv show or series”, goes to?…. -Envelope opening- The Antiques Roadshow, and their showing of sour faced man behind David Battie, in a double denim ensemble.

Watching for the reactions - of the 'value reveal' - is enormous fun. It's great when people are pleasantly surprised, but, even more so when the owner thought it was worth much more, with the voice calmly saying; "Oh yes... Yes, thought as much..." while the whole face and body language are shouting "BUGGER!" 🤣😄

I just want to be in this room full of antiques with the beautifully dated decoration, in a stroller being pushed by my mother, taking a nap while all of these wonderful voices drone on in the background. What a lovely place, really it were a destination that one could currently visit

The biggest antique of all was the bro in the first segment standing there in faded double denim with his arms folded. Today at auction, he'd fetch around 7.50 and a doner kebab.

Theres antique silver and Gold Cutlery that is family erlems aswell dishes with Gold on it, cufflings passed down or watches of Gold And Silver. Werth very 🤑but it is best handed down to family members, or museumed or passed down. Silver exposed oxigen after sometime darkens so must be polished. Goodshow old boy, chinup🤑❤️‍🔥

That lock looks older than late 19th century. But, it’s hard to judge from a VHS image. Added to that, I know nothing about antiques.
