Such a strange '80s clip: Wogon's aesthetic looks like something from the '70s, and Max Headroom's aesthetic looks like something from the '90s. It's as if they got in time machines to meet midway in the 80s.

Max Headroom was of course portrayed by actor Matt Frewer under layers of makeup and prosthetics, and a fair bit of electronic and video trickery. Now that technology allows us to create _actual_ virtual characters, why hasn't anyone created a genuine computer generated Max Headroom?

Back then actor Matt Frewer was in make-up and prosthetic's, with some sort of Amiga produced CG background. The stuttering was done to make him look more like AI generated. But the effect was good enough to make him look computer generated. These days, I could almost imagine Max Headroom being 100% completely remade in CG or some sort of modeling program and probably look pretty close to the original. Max Head Room could come back on Twitch or KZbin , or something and just do the music video DJ thing again.

Matt Frewer is very entertaining, actually... i never had time to research it in the '80's, nor was there any place to do so. It was all 'pushing the envelope,' for the then new MTV... &, so many of the 'Punk Rock' fans wore 'suits,' like this... all of them 'trying to make a living,' were rather a 'slam-dancing,' angry bunch, really. /:

Wogan was a total legend on radio before he moved to tv. His early morning radio show was unmissable. He'd have you laughing out loud at 6am. His interactions with his followers were legendary. How I miss that humour.
