Went to Aberdeenshire a while back and tried haggis. It was only a small amount. I didn't mind it, it was nicely seasoned. However, couldn't eat it all the time as I'm not a fan of offal.

As the saying goes "There are two things you should never know how they're made, laws and sausages...". We can now add a third to that lol. Crap jokes aside, good quality haggis is absolutely gorgeous and has so many flavours to it. But normally the haggis we get presented with in even the higher-end supermarkets like M&S is pretty bland and grim.

The problem I have with haggis is the variable quality, I have had some really good ones and some absolutely awful ones.

Please Google/view on YT, the song called "How Many Legs Has A Haggis." Today is Christmas Day, 2023 and my Christmas Dinner has Haggis as the starter. I put my menu to the vote and it came up 'tops' for a starter. It will, of course, be washed down with Irn Bru or a good Single Malt Whisky. I eat haggis at least once a week and even quite like the vegetarian haggis - now that's saying something for a Scot!

And people wonder why the BBC is disliked in Scotland? - imagine doing a feature on another country's dish in this patronising manner and being surprised at the reaction !

The first guy on the screen. I was thinking, why does he sound like Alfred Hitchcock. I googled it and it turns out Alfred was a God damned Englishman. I'm 50 years old, I always thought he was just a funny talking American. Turns out he was English this whole time! And now I've said turns out twice and ruined the comment.
