Robbie was such a broadly versatile actor but barely known in the US before the Harry Potter series. That said "Cracker" was dark and I had to stretch to imagine him being so serious vs anywhere else. We miss him.

Have you met any young (as in under thirty) people recently? I consider it overly generous to be crediting them with 2 brain cells.

Comedy royalty, and legends even to many of us here in the US. Blackadder IS a favorite series to binge, say when I'm under the weather, but it competes with other Brit comedy during those long rests. (Brit Box is totally worth the $ to sub) btw, Soupy twist. 🙂

My geography teacher taught me about prehistoric creatures, those are meganthropus palaeojavanicus and pithecanthropus erectus, nothing Norman about them..the palaeonthologists who discovered them were Gustav von Koenigswald and Eugene Dubois. And also 2 ancient civilizations: Mohenjo Daro & Harappa..I even still remember how he said Anyway why does baldrick keep following George or Edmund?

I just looked up in Bank of England's inflation calculator how much 59.000 pounds in socks in 1811 would come to in 2025. Best data november 2024 came to £4,030,907.79 This is an absolute outrage and they were completely right to set upon the Prince of Wales.

The three rules of British comedy........ 1, Be comfortable in taking the piss out of yourself and your cultures/laws. We know in the real world we are the best nation on God's own Earth, so we worry not about mocking ourselves. 2, Make sure it IS funny and the timing near perfect. 3, Add some intelligent jokes.

not about Welsh politics just British politics at the time, William Pitt the Younger (called that because his dad also called William Pitt had been prime minister previously) was and still is the youngest prime minister we've ever had at 24, and also was our second longest serving prime minister of all time lasting 18 years
