It is really sad to think that so many of this wonderful cast have died. Only Dawn French and James Fleet are left. All the rest have passed away as of March 2022. Very sad, but their memories live on in these episodes.

Hello from Germany! Although this fabulous series never aired here, my favourite ever moment is when Geraldine goes through the village at night, fulfilling Letitia's last wish, which was to disguise herself as the Easter Bunny and deliver chocolate eggs to each house.

My grandma and I stumbled onto this show one Saturday evening when I was a tween. We instantly feel in love and it became our thing that we would get together every Saturday to watch it. Haven't seen or thought about this show in many,many years and it's even better than I remember. Gonna send this to my grandma cause I know she'll get a kick out of it!

Vicar of Dibley was one of the funniest, best TV comedies. When Peter Capaldi became the Doctor, I thought I had seen him somewhere before. I had watched the Vicar of Dibley DVDs a few months prior, and suddenly recognized him as Tristan, the BBC director. He was many years younger, with a lot of hair on the head.

Kind of unrelated but was it really already normal for a conservative CoE church in the 90s to be "celebrating the summer solstice"?
@xr6lad Жыл бұрын
Sorry but loved the original Vicar. But when the lead started getting far too preachy in her personal life and onscreen as well and somewhat condescending in her manner - there’s a difference between funny but observant to just outright lecturing. It’s no longer comedy. And I say that as a member of a minority myself.
