Rehearsals for this show must have been mind-numbing, the need to stay in character while reciting the most inane (sounding) dialogue must have required extreme levels of concentration. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan, I just think this had to be a difficult show to film/perform on.

Heard / read once that Emma Chambers practiced the heck out of her I Can't Believe It's Not Butter speech in the brief time between receiving it and next reporting for rehearsal... they had thought of cutting it, but she was just so brilliant they knew they had to keep it in.
