It's so interesting to see how smart animals can be and how they figure out what they must do to reunite with their family. Our crew filmed baby ducks that basically have to jump into the abyss, but they know that's the only way to reunite with their mum.

After all that the British native badgers have been put through at the hands of the UK government, they should now be protected and celebrated as part of the UK nature heritage!

They are so beautiful and cute I love there little ears, noses and sounds they make. I know they like to comfort their young when there are thunderstorms, They eat rattlesnakes so they have some resistance or immunity towards there venom and they love living as a family some badger homes are over 100 years old and there are passed down to future generations. Thank you so much for sharing this video and educating and for permitting us a glimpse into the badgers lives:)

"Cub"? Baby badgers are more like "kitts" to me. Badgers are mustelids and other mustelids babies could not be called cubs.

@carson douglas, actually, badgers do not belong to Mustelidae, Mustelidae is now restricted to only the weasels, ferrets, and minks, while the skunks, stink badgers, badgers, otters, zorillas, muishund, shulang, huro, grisons, wolverine, tayra, martens, and fisher no longer belong to this family, they are all instead relocated to four separate families, Mephitidae for the skunks and stink badgers, Melidae for the badgers, Lutridae for the otters, and Ictonychidae for the zorillas, muishund, shulang, huro, grisons, wolverine, tayra, martens, and fisher, while the latter three families are grouped with Mustelidae into the superfamily Musteloidea, Mephitidae actually does not belong here and instead evolved independently, Mephitidae belongs to a whole different superfamily, which is the superfamily Procyonoidea, which makes skunks and stink badgers more closely related to the raccoons, bassarisks, red panda, coatis, olingos, olinguito, and kinkajou of the families Procyonidae, Ailuridae, and Nasuidae respectively.

@Timothea, actually, the carnivoran families Mustelidae and Viverridae are the most controversial families because both families are now heavily reduced with Mustelidae now only left with the subfamily Mustelinae (Weasels, Ferrets, and Minks) and Viverridae now left with only the subfamilies Viverrinae (Ground Civets), Hemigalinae (Long-Snouted Palm Civets), and Paradoxurinae (Short-Faced Palm Civets), other taxa formerly included within the families Mustelidae and Viverridae have been moved to different families, the skunks and stink badgers are relocated to the family Mephitidae, all fifteen extant badger species under seven genera and four subfamilies are now classified under one separate family (Melidae), otters are reranked as a full family (Lutridae), and the subfamilies Ictonychinae (Zorillas, Muishund, Shulang, Huro, and Grisons) and Guloninae (Wolverine, Tayra, Martens, and Fisher) are grouped together under another separate family known as Ictonychidae, the african palm civet, linsangs, oyans, and genets are under their own monotypic families Nandiniidae, Prionodontidae, Poianidae, and Genettidae, mongooses are reranked as a full family (Herpestidae), and the malagasy carnivorans are proven to be a monophyletic group, which is a separate family to the exclusion of other carnivorans, being the family Eupleridae, in fact, while the families Melidae (Badgers), Mustelidae (Weasels, Ferrets, Minks, and Fossil Relatives), Lutridae (Otters), and Ictonychidae (Zorillas, Muishund, Shulang, Huro, Grisons, Wolverine, Tayra, Martens, and Fisher) are classified together within the superfamily Musteloidea and the families Nandiniidae (African Palm Civet), Prionodontidae (Linsangs), Poianidae (Oyans), Genettidae (Genets), Viverridae (Civets), Herpestidae (Mongooses), and Eupleridae (Malagasy Carnivorans) are classified together within the superfamily Viverroidea, the family Mephitidae (Skunks and Stink Badgers) does not belong to the superfamily Musteloidea at all but instead evolved independently, Mephitidae belongs to a whole different superfamily, which is the superfamily Procyonoidea, which most closely relates to skunks and stink badgers to the raccoons, bassarisks, red panda, coatis, olingos, olinguito, and kinkajou of the respective families Procyonidae, Ailuridae, and Nasuidae, the term "small carnivoran" is only used for members of the superfamilies Procyonoidea (contains 4 families: Mephitidae, Procyonidae, Ailuridae, and Nasuidae), Musteloidea (contains 4 families: Melidae, Mustelidae, Lutridae, and Ictonychidae), and Viverroidea (contains 7 families: Nandiniidae, Prionodontidae, Poianidae, Genettidae, Viverridae, Herpestidae, and Eupleridae), but small carnivorans are a polyphyletic group and are not an official or natural group, which is why these three superfamilies independently evolved from one another, as the superfamilies Procyonoidea (Raccoons, Bassarisks, Red Panda, Coatis, Olingos, Olinguito, Kinkajou, Skunks, and Stink Badgers) and Musteloidea (Weasels, Ferrets, Minks, Badgers, Otters, Zorillas, Muishund, Shulang, Huro, Grisons, Wolverine, Tayra, Martens, and Fisher) both belong to the suborder Caniformia (Dog-Like Carnivorans), while the superfamily Viverroidea (Civets, Mongooses, Malagasy Carnivorans, Genets, Oyans, Linsangs, and African Palm Civet) belongs to the suborder Feliformia (Cat-Like Carnivorans).
