Been thinking about picking this gane back up. When I was new to fighting games I played Az and literally just did Tiger Cobra Leopard all day but I didn't go deep with the game Basically a Decade later and I've got the experience to learn Az properly but I also think Koko fits my setplay style a lot more so watching these matches makes it hard for me to decide who to put time into. Az wont take much time at all im sure but I feel like his neutral game is limited whereas with Koko she seems like a worthwhile investment but it might take a while

Honestly, it's always worth picking up a main and a sub if you can't decide who to play. Kokonoe is definitely worth the time learning since you can do some pretty sick stuff with her. But Azrael is worth learning too.

Watching this makes me wish that they add rollback to Blazblue CF on console 😞

Tim, how do you feel about the Az vs Koko MU? I myself don't know where I stand on it. Azrael can growler a lot of her setups but she still has ways around them or making it really tricky to growler things. Azrael doesn't really have a super hard time in neutral, he has to watch out for 3C and getting pushed into lightning rod setups but compared to a lot of other MUs, it's not difficult. I haven't fought many kokos so I want to know your thoughts on it.

I'd say it's an even 5-5 matchup (maybe a bit in Koko's favor but that's probably my bias), the match-up is very explosive between the two of them. Both characters have the damage to basically turn it into a two-touch game, but Azrael having 1.5K more health than Koko means that he'll be able to survive longer. While Azrael can Growler through a lot Koko's setups, Koko can also use alternate setups to force him to second guess himself with Growler/Panzer. 2B when spaced right can also avoid his meterless reversals (even if he does Sentinel on wake-up, Koko can just cancel the first hit into 5B to CH him). Since Azrael's movement is limited to a step dash/Gustav/Air Dash, it becomes a lot harder for him to chase down Koko and a lot easier for her to throw him into a Lightning trap at midscreen. Gravitons can also be used to redirect her fireball's trajectory to make Azrael whiff Growler and punish with either a launched fireball or a 3C. Another thing to note is that since Koko has no meterless reversal, Azrael can bully her as much as he'd like if the Kokonoe player doesn't know how to challenge his pressure (i.e. Instant Block or IB his blockstrings, using OD during his Drive, or call out his dash cross-ups). Doesn't help that Kokonoe's buttons tend to be rather stubby at times, so even if Koko IB's certain moves, if Azrael has them spaced she won't be able to punish them even with 5A/2A. Like I said, both sides have to watch out for each other's damage at low health since with full resources, both Azrael and Kokonoe can just delete each other's health bars (with Golden Tager and Double Weak-Points respectively). All in all, very volatile match-up from what I've played.

At 3:33 why didn't the super activate? I thought it did when you had 50 meter

He bursted during the last bit of the minigun. They have to get hit by those bullets in order for Crime of Greed to trigger.
