When the guitar came in for split second I thought they were doing a Minutemen cover, can't remember the name of the song, but it was most definitely an influence on this song, D Boone is pretty damn good influence to have. It's def weird sounding but it's hard to say it's definitely the mix that's at fault. If the mics weren't set up or chosen well, or the room wasn't well-suited to this kind of recording (which seems likely) then it could have been that, or other factors. There's only so much you can do to fix things in the mixing stage.

For you who are new here, search for "amyl sniffers francisco" is a brutal performance of Some Mutts at a small bar in San Francisco, March 2019, Amy Taylor ( not Amyl ) turning into spider woman. To me this band have the AC/DC's punch on their sound, these three guys kill a lot live, vocals are of course completely different than AC/DC, but she also kill, as singer and as frontwoman, leader, anyway, what great new band.
