Typhoon Gaemi makes landfall in mainland China after deaths in Taiwan and the Philippines | BBC News

Hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes as Typhoon Gaemi has made landfall in mainland China.
It comes after widespread flooding and landslides across Taiwan and the Philippines, which killed at least 21 people.
The Philippines says it is "racing against time" to contain an oil spill after a tanker carrying 1.5 million litres of industrial fuel capsized and sank off of the country's coast.
China activated its highest-tier disaster warning as the storm made its way to its shores, and Chinese President Xi Jinping chaired a meeting with the Communist Party's top leadership on flood control and disaster relief plans, state media reported.

Bro, the no.1 to blame really was C.change because of the fact of alarming severity of the frequency of super typhoons being created on earth that should be naturally showing once every 15-20 years. The variables of data that may affect the earth's climate was even feeded and simulated on super and proto quantum computers around the world. Have you been to one or any country affected by these recent extreme weathers? Last 2 months ago our country felt the highest heat temperature in history fluctuating from 40°C to 65°C (you can already cook meat on a metal flat that's exposed on those heats for an hour outside) lasting for a month and a half. Other countries near the equator felt the unusual abnormality, too. It's sad that even CFC-banned products are still widely used today and Coal is still the no.1 used product to produce the world's power grids. It's sad as well that people are not informed and do not believe of the impacts of man made climate change that was progressing for over a century since the widespread industrialization that we see the effects just this recent 2 decades.

А от Америки останется 4% суши, где можно будет жить какое-то время. Но эта участь ожидает все страны, если лучшие учёные мира не объединятся ради спасения жизни на Земле и не найдут способ стабилизировать климат.

The dams need to be kept low in advance... Otherwise like the other commenter said, it is only going to saturate downstream water ways... That is one reason why, for example, California dams are not allowed to hold more than 50% capacity until the rainy season has ended... Which is counter intuitive in a lot of people's mind, since simple logic probably tells you that the rainy season is the golden opportunity to store water for a usually dry region. However, if you dig one layer deeper, the rainy season is also the worst time to store water when you have to save capacity in case of high volume of rain and thus potential flooding.
