Something to think about - Hamas kills hostages. Israel never killed a singal Prisoner because a death sentence is illegal in Israel. That includes even someone like Yahya Sinwar who was actually treated for cancer during his time in the Israeli prison. In contrast- Hamas killed Carmel -a female Israeli yoga teacher who was kidnapped during the 7 of October. Hamas also Killed Hersh Goldberg - a 23 years old Israeli American citizen, not a soldier. Besides that, Hamas killed at least 34 more hostages. So if you want to speculate about who treats captivities better then you are free do so but if you want to make up your mind based on reality then these are the facts - Hamas kills hostages, Israel doesn’t kill prisoners because it is an actual democracy with laws.

But the reporter even said thousands of Palestinians have been detained in the last months. There are thousands of innocent Palestinians being unjustly held hostage/detained in Israeli prisons without any criminal convictions, compared to the couple hundred Hamas has. So of course you’ll see ratios like this, if not higher. It also highlights the value, or rather lack thereof, of a Palestinian life in comparison
