That's not what we have been hearing from a survivors. Photos show they are searching areas and an ex-pat from said they were there with within 2 hours despite how remote they are. Its interesting she said her neighbour lost 5 children and he had no family. She lost her house and pets ran away. They were bringing in the French Foreign legion. They have helicopters and heavy machinery working round the clock. Roads are blocked with debris. Your reporter was not very accurate and that is disappointing because you have greater coverage than we do. The Hawaiian people had to wait days. There were army and navy bases and no help from them or from the FEMA team. Locals from Maui had to get boats to bring stuff in as did people from the other islands. America let them down badly. I am sorry for all those people especially in that terrain. It is heart breaking. I had just finished watching the other coverage and then to see the substandard reporting from your guy just wasn't enough

Looks like a war zone, the cobbled and conservancy lanes along with mud houses are completely gone…… I read a report on the BBC , that a man had to chose between his parents and his son to dig them out of their house, he chose his son and he needs to rebuild his life all over again at 50 years of age, that amazing to look forward to better outcomes in life, the most precious gift is to live without much fuss.
