The NHS has spent goodness knows how much to save this man's life but can't spend just that bit more to make sure that his quality of life is good. He says it has made him more driven and it's amazing that he has a positive outlook but I do feel if we fight to save him and people like him then we should fight even more after they are 'stable' to give them the amazing after care that they need. I hope he gets the prosthetics to give him just a little bit of the independence he used to have.

As an NHS doctor, we strive to provide nothing under exceptional care from treatment to rehabilitation. Unfortunately, the prosthetic provided despite being of high quality cannot match the multi million pound offerings of private companies. The NHS's money should be spent on people needing these operations and aids to move as best as possible instead of giving money towards breast enhancing operations for would be models ( unless cancer patients etc of course) and other operations that are cosmetic and not really needed funded by the NHS. If people want these operations to purely look suposidly beautiful or enhance an already big chest then 'PAY' for it !!! The very best of luck to this Gentleman and his family and all support should be given andvhe does want to go back to work.

His eyes are so sad I am crying just by looking at them... I truly wish he can get all the medical care he needs and all the prosthetics. Also, I wish his message reaches other people too to pay attention to their symptoms and don't regard everything as a passing common flu/cold. I had contracted a bacterium 9 years ago, I had puss on my tonsils and 39,8 degrees Celsius for 3 days. I was "diagnosed" with EBV, told to just wait it out. I kept getting worse. Got to another doctor, he diagnosed bacterial tonsillitis, took antibiotics for 10 days. On the second day of antibiotics I was fine. You should trust your gut when your body tells you something is wrong. Don't dismiss symptoms.
