All the bacteria has been burned out and what you have left is perfectly good basic materials. Hell. Composted poop toilets in Europe use their recycled poo for farming and it doesn't smell or harbor any pathogens.

The title is all wrong, the intended idea of the video is to show the significance of simple technologies in Africa that has made faeces become a recyclable material. Given the living conditions on people living in rural parts of Africa, thus showing how this resource is so important. The smell is besides the point.

Now, I know this comment is old, but just for people scrolling around here. No, it's harmless, it was burnt and grinded which means holding it won't infect you. By the way, it's obviously not good at all to consume it, but you use it a cooking material, nobody consumes it in the first place just like charcoal

Charcoal is Africa's least problem. It the people there can conjure up enough confidence to get rid of corruption is the real issue.
@rashb3994

We can't even get rid of corruption in the West so not sure how they can. With that said the start of them saying no more often to the West and Europe has freed them up a bit. So that is a sign West puppets they have in power are being ousted. Which means less manipulation and more focus on building without interference and resource theft!

This is biofuel. Biomass is used to produce gas for cooking in many countries. In Europe they use the sluge as fertilizers and other purposes. Every garbage will throw away can be very useful....In fact, everything has a purpose even those we havent figured out yet. Some countries wouldnt want to touch their garbage or sewage without knowing how valuable their waste can be.

I wouldn't grill with it but it's definitely a good solution if you don't have access to a gas stove or oven. I'm assuming by burning it beforehand, they're removing any potential toxins/parasites/etc.

Would I? If I needed to cook using charcoal and poocoal was cheaper than regular charcoal, sure. It's perfectly safe once it has been turned into charcoal. All the bacteria and viruses are dead. There would be no smell either if the process was proper and complete. For that matter, properly composting sewage is fine too.

They have the most luxurious resources, like gold or coal, but because of the population rate in most countries they cannot trade well. An average African make around $3500-$5500 an year. That is how much we make in a week. (At least that’s what my dad makes a week.) And overpopulation is a big problem because every 1 square mile is 2000+ people, which means less resources. But they are, smart, eco friendly people I guess.

“Prepare and eat this food as you would barley cakes. While all the people are watching, bake it over a fire using dried human dung as fuel and then eat the bread.” Then the Lord said, “This is how Israel will eat defiled bread in the Gentile lands to which I will banish them!” Then I said, “O Sovereign Lord, must I be defiled by using human dung? For I have never been defiled before. From the time I was a child until now I have never eaten any animal that died of sickness or was killed by other animals. I have never eaten any meat forbidden by the law.” “All right,” the Lord said. “You may bake your bread with cow dung instead of human dung.” Then he told me, “Son of man, I will make food very scarce in Jerusalem. It will be weighed out with great care and eaten fearfully. The water will be rationed out drop by drop, and the people will drink it with dismay. Lacking food and water, people will look at one another in terror, and they will waste away under their punishment.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭4:12-17‬ ‭NLT‬‬
