Myanmar is in the grip of a civil war, largely forgotten by the outside world, which has left thousands of people dead and displaced more than two million from their homes.
Rebel forces are fighting a bloody campaign against the military regime which seized control of the country in 2021, when army generals overthrew the elected government of Nobel peace prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.
Mass protests at the crushing of democracy were brutally put down. Many people took up armed resistance to the regime and in October 2023 several rebel groups united to form a single national insurgency.
Recently the rebels have been making big territorial gains. The fighters, among them a group known as the KNDF, are now presenting Myanmar’s military with the biggest threat to its rule since it seized power.
Clive Myrie presents a BBC News at Ten special frontline report by Quentin Sommerville.

Beautiful country and people. I feel for the displaced civilians caught up in the war. In my humble opinion, refugees and displaced civilians fleeing or caught up in the civil war in Myanmar should be able to relocate and resettle over to the vast resourceful Australia & New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific region..[For more, pls read the informative multi-page comments by 'Ms. Gregoria' at, "Myanmar remains in social and economic crisis since military seized power/BBC News": kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWG9n4SQeqeJq7c ].. In fact, around 90% of Australia/New Zealand are completely empty. Besides, the vast majority of the population in Australia/New Zealand, tens of millions of Europeans were from all over Europe brought in over to the Asia-Pacific region.. Like I said, I feel for the refugees/innocent civilians displaced by war. Peace for all!

#معجزات_القرآن 1 #MIracles_of_Quraan 1. The Whole Quran In the Quran, God commanded the Prophet to challenge all of creation to create a book of the stature of the Quran: “Say: ‘If all mankind and the jinn would come together to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce its like even though they exerted all and their strength in aiding one another.’” (Quran 17:88) ⏬ 2. Ten Chapters Next, God made the challenge ostensibly easier by asking those who denied its divine origin to imitate even ten chapters of the Quran: “Or do they say that he has invented it? Say (to them), ‘Bring ten invented chapters like it, and call (for help) on whomever you can besides God, if you are truthful.” (Quran 11:13) ⏬ 3. One Chapter This final challenge was to produce even a single chapter to match what is in the Quran, whose shortest chapter, al-Kawthar, consists of only three verses: “And if you all are in doubt about what I have revealed to My servant, bring a single chapter like it, and call your witnesses besides God if you are truthful.” (Quran 2:23)#معجزات_القرآن 2 #MIracles_of_Quraan These challenges were not just empty words with no one caring to prove them wrong. Prophet Muhammad’s call to monotheism, to the abolition of idolatry in all its forms, and to the equality of slaves and their masters threatened the whole socio-economic framework of Mecca society in general, and the position of the ruling Quraishee tribe from which the Prophet came in particular. Mecca, the trading center of Arabia, as well as its spiritual center, desperately wanted to stop the spread of Islam. Yet all that the Prophet’s opponents had to do to crush the movement was to make up a single chapter like any one of those which the Prophet and his followers were reciting to the people. A number of Quraishee orators and poets tried to imitate the Quran, but they failed. They then resorted to offering him vast amounts of wealth, the position of king over them, and the most noble and beautiful of their women in exchange for his promise to stop inviting people to Islam. He responded to them by reciting the first thirteen verses of Chapter Fussilat, until they asked him to stop.[1] The Quraish also resorted to torturing their slaves and relatives who had embraced Islam in a vain attempt to cause them to revert to paganism. Later they organized an economic boycott against the Prophet his followers and the members of his clan, Banu Hashim, in an attempt to starve them into submission. But even this plan eventually failed. Finally, they plotted to kill him in his home by sending armed young men from each of the clans of Quraish in order that the guilt of his murder be shared by all the clans, making revenge by the orophets clan impossible.

I feel for the innocent civilians caught up in the war.. In my humble opinion, refugees and displaced civilians fleeing or caught up in the civil war in Myanmar should be able to relocate and resettle over to the vast resourceful Australia & New Zealand in the Asia-Pacific region..[For more, pls read the insightful multi-page comments by 'Ms. Like I said, I feel for the innocent civilians displaced by war. Peace for all!

I think conflict is conflict and should not put one persons suffering over another but if we are to compare as you did.. those people are fighting one another, so it’s an internal conflict, which for the best outcome for the people their it’s better it be situated amongst them selfs… rather then a foreign force I’m American here going over their and turning it into Lybia or Iraq… afghan.. as far as Palestine goes, Israel is a foreign force who’s been oppressing them for decades and stealing a lot of their land.. even the agreed upon settlement of each state Israel is occupying palestines half… that’s major difference when another group of people are oppressing or causing genocide to another.. so I would think in broader terms that conflict needs attention now, this other one needs to be resolved by the people of the country.. I don’t have a single example where an out side force provided assistance from the heart.. people fail for some reason to live in reality.. when history points to the examples of what that is.. anyways peace to them

Both Myanmarese civilians and troops regularly flee into India, Mizoram has deep ethnic ties to Myanmar and has done much to take in the refugees while at the same time they send back the Myanmarese troops, from what I have been told the junta soldiers are not exactly liked by the Mizos and are usually housed at the Assam rifle camps.

I pray for these people frequently. Watch the coverage on NHK News. A single person's prayer leads others to pray also. It's the most powerful thing around. Praying also for Taiwan, South Korea , Ukraine the Middle East and United States. Peoples lives and freedom are at stake. Again you are not forgotten.
Can these Gen Z rebels win Myanmar's brutal civil war?
