So, a party leader shows up on national television and manages to: 1) Not be a raging c*$%. 2) Not make me want to punch him in the face. 3) Not destroy whatever faith I have left in Democracy. 4) Rebut all of the criticisms levied at him in a fairly direct and open manner instead of skirting the questions (mostly). 5) Actually make the interviewer laugh, and me at home laugh. Jesus christ... these should be prerequisites for a career in politics, not highlights! Imagine what the Conservative Party could do if they stopped behaving like elitist arses and started behaving like human beings who deserve the faith their party members place in them.

***** Actually, the quote is about friends in Hamas, but he _was_ pictured accidentally in front of a Hezbola flag in a pro-Palestine rally. Corbyn wants an end to the conflict between Palestine and Israel. He wants Israel to stop sewing hatred with obscene levels of bombing and he wants to stop Hamas from fighting back and justifying the slaughter. He wants to open up a political process and bring Hamas away from terrorism and into the peace process because they're the democratically elected leaders of Palestine, and peace is what is most important in the region right now, and it won't happen so long as Israel blocks Palestine's attempts to go for peace.

Nostalgia Guy And what the Conservatives are CURRENTLY doing to this country mortifies me. Corbyn champions things that have been working for decades in places like Iceland, Sweden, and Finland. Cameron is championing things that have never worked and everyone knows it. Take some time to research the candidates and you'll see why Corbyn is one of the most popular men in the UK and Cameron is one of the most loathed.

+burtlangoustine1 You do know Islamists use our tolerance against us, we are just weakening ourselves in the long run by letting bleeding heart liberals like corbyn into office. How can you expect people from different cultures to live harmoniously under the same set of rules? it go's against the very definition of multiculturalism. Sure we shouldnt get involved in the middle east, because the danger is within our streets, the mosques, the schools we sent our kids to even!

Liberals provide wonderful humane things into our lives. The NHS, hated by the rich loved by the poor. Freedom of movement and life to millions, generations now, of healthcare debt-free people. Havenj% you noticed how liberals ideals are knocked-down using fear tactics? Would Corbyn have duped an entire nation and entered a illegal war in Iraq? Blair did. Would Corbyn dissolve working tax credits? Cameron tried. Would Corbyn unecessarily privatise essential national services? Would Corbyn be more like the icelandic premier who deserves a nobel peace prize for his actions against global financial fraud. His ear is to the ground, not the anus of elites, unelected banksters or nut-jobs from the US.

Cortez Remember, freedom isn't your idea of freedom. Its accepting that you live in a place where you have to accept all peoples idea of freedom in a safe and legal way. I bet there are satanic cults, Sex clubs, Peado rings and all the shit stuff that comes with freedom, but then there is you and I, and our lives being lived in freedom the way we see it. House, family, life. Our Freedom is financially tied and geographically bound to our home. It is also totally monopolised and controlled in most ways imaginable. So freedom can always be used against us. Imagine drones came to bomb our towns just to find a couple hundred gangsters moving around. That would pierce my freedom to an extent of rebellion. Especially if i lost family or kids. This world is mad right now, religiously and financially untamed and raw.
@cortez1359
@cortez1359 8 жыл бұрын
i know your intentions are well meaning, i get that. But how is the liberal support of mass immigration beneficial for this country?. We bring in people with vastly different views on freedom and expect them to subscribe to our version. And like you said earlier we must just accept that our version of freedom isnt the same as everyone else. Gee that makes it confusing, i mean how can we all live harmoniously in the long run if segments of society dont accept the morals and laws of the country they live in. Wow its almost like we should all just have our own countrys or somthing? and we'll base those countrys on a common culture that would promote nationhood and not states within a state. Also its not always about money and health care, What about nationhood and identity? is it really that fascist to be concerned over the rate of change within your local community? Thats the gist of the right wing argument. And also i like corbyn's personality, i just think hes naive.
@burtlangoustine1
@burtlangoustine1 8 жыл бұрын
If Corbyn went for full border control along with a national register, to promote a safe management system of who is here, coming here and leaving. And promoted stricter immigration control, NHS fraud etc would you get off Corbyn's back? It is unsafe to allow mass migration into the UK. Everybody already knows that.

+tEh kEEpEr He probably does. Bombing ISIL won't stop them from bombing us, it'll just divert funds from where they could be placed in the UK trying to stop the ISIL bombings from happening, or improving the lives of British Citizens. The enemy isn't ISIL. The enemy is jihadi radicalisation itself, and that ideal only grows stronger in the hearts of the people whose lives we destroy trying to hit ISIL. Every step we take further from our ideals is a step they take closer to ISIL's.

+David Robertson Bombing and more bombing. The world burns and they want to bomb it even more. Don't forget the civilian casualties whilst you're at it. Fact is, we have had decades of military intervention in these nations and despite what we'd like to think all we've done is made the situation worse, at the cost of billions of pounds, millions of lost foreign lives, and thousands of lost British servicemen and women. The reason discussion is important is that it is very clear that what we have been doing is not, and has never truly worked. Killing individual people like Saddam and Osama does nothing to stop the actual problem of jihadi radicalisation within the region and around the world. Even if you forced all of ISIL out of their territories with bombs they would still be planning their attacks in basements in Rotherham and Birmingham and Seattle and Moscow. I don't want to be edgy in quoting _V for Vendetta_ but the line still stands: "...ideas are bulletproof." and we have spent the last few decades rigorously proving that to be the case.
@bigdaverobo21

+Bushflare A very valid point. I would agree that Britain has not helped this mess. In fact. Just aggravated it. The US foreign policy and the military industrial complex is mostly to blame for this. If you look at what they are doing. Dividing the Islamic World in 2. Sunnis vs Shias. Its in their interests to keep ISIS going. They can sell them weapons and they are very anti Russia still. The real solution to this problem is to move away from oil and to more renewable sources of energy. Then the USA/EU wouldn't meddle in the Middle East so much. However Politicians including Corbyn are elected professional Bull S speakers. Nothing will come from the Paris Talks. It will take real ingenuity from normal people to solve this problem. Funnily enough Capitalism is the real solution to this problem. Someone will make it viable to move away from oil and we can then start being a little more civilized and leave ISIL to destroy themselves, even though bombing them would be faster and is also what they deserve.

The Long Night Austerity wasn’t and isn’t a nice for none of us, however the working class, first and second the middle class are the ones paying the highest price, because of many factors which no government would be able to control in times of financial crises. Corbyn isn’t the solution for the middle or working class. My objection to Corbyn is deep seated. I consider the primary duty of government and therefore the PM, to be defence of the realm. Backing and empowering Her Majesty's Armed Forces to perform that duty. Something Corbyn is unwilling and incapable of doing. His cold war activities alone make him almost guilty of treason. His collusion with the jihad’s proves it beyond doubt. Seriously, if Corbyn somehow came to power. I would support a move by the Armed Forces to request permission from Her Majesty, to march on Westminster and withdraw from Her Majesty's Government the mandate to govern in her name. It's a difficult thing for me to contemplate but if Corbyn was to achieve power. British democracy would by definition be in peril and in need of protection, correction and re-instating. I'm not even going to discuss the bombing of Syria. In my opinion, Corbyn is a greater threat to the UK than ISIS.
