Hamas has said its leader Ismail Haniyeh has been killed while staying in Tehran, Iran.
He was killed in an air strike at about 2:00 local time, according to reports.
The group blames Israel for the attack - Israel has yet to respond but has previously vowed to eliminate Hamas's leaders.
Haniyeh's death came hours after Israel said it killed a senior Hezbollah commander in a strike in the Lebanese capital Beirut.Subscribe here: bit.ly/1rbfUog

A disgusting report, shame on you BBC for calling the Golan Heights "Israeli Occupied". In 2017 the United Nations Resolution 2735 proclaimed sovereignty over The Golan Heights. The UN recognised Israel as legally having the Golan Heights as Israeli Territory. Syria Egypt and Jordan invaded Israel by sea air and land, all three countries were defeated and were chased out of Israel and there were new borders according to the Geneva Convention, put simply when you invade a country, get chased out you lose the right to cry its not fair. Egypt Jordan and Syria all lost land after invading israel.

The UN does not recognise the Golan Heights as part of Israel. Rather it is the US that recognises it as part of Israel in 2019.

Golan Heights are illegaly occupied by Israel according to the UN. It was US Trump goverment who recognised it in 2019, which had the response from the 28 members of EU saying that they don't recognise it as israeli territory. Both the EU and UN issued a joint statement condemning the US announcement and the UN Secretary-General issued a statement saying that the status of the Golan had not changed
