I loved so much Dafne in Logan. I remember the scene where she screams at him in spanish. Hugh Jackman said that he felt so bad when he cursed directly at her and after the filming he went to Dafnes mother and begged forgiveness for doing such a bad thing to little Dafne. Dafnes mother just laughed and told Hugh "Its okay, Dafne said a much worse word to you in spanish!" Apparently, that part of Dafnes anger was cut out!

@@monicap7941 No, most classes are in Spanish, since as far as I know Dafne is also bilingual. It's a school centered mostly around the arts with a number of actors and painters and such. I'm a writer.

Same here. Read the trilogy a lot as a teen back in the early 00s. The Book of Dust trilogy is also excellent. I am so happy to finally see those masterpieces adapted to a motion picture series. The cast is outstanding. You can really feel Keen and Wilson's chemistry there. Early signs of them being soul mates.

Dafne is a great actress and she also seems so genuine. I love the banter and the casual ‘shut-up’s between her and Amir. I love the music for the His Dark Materials theme especially for season 2 and I am honestly going to try to get my orchestra to play it. And truly, I never pronounced Cittagazze. When ever I read that word in the book I just skipped over it.

There are actually a LOT of parallels btwn dafne & Millie I noticed . They're both fluent in Spanish but look white & have British accents . They both come from Spain originally . They both play geneticAlly enhanced children with super powers being pursued by dark government forces as escaped experiments in their break out roles . They both have a scene where they steal from a store & use their powers against the employees to get away 🤣🤣 it's actually reeeeally weird when u think about it . Almost as if it's by design

Amir is far too light skinned for that Miles is supposed to be a dark skinned afro latina man ,who is half latino/hispanic and black. If they can't get a actor who is half latino they would go for a black actor judging by how Miles has always looked black even though he is mixed. I dont think Kevin Feige would do it or sony for that matter , e.g... it would be big white washing drama in the media. Even the new video game establishes Miles as a afro latino man who is dark skinned in the latest PS 5 game. Amir is pretty much close to Tom Hollands complexion at times like in this video.

My guilty pleasure escapism after GOT ended,, HDM has become one of my fav shows, well I don’t watch many shows maybe 4 or 5 at most.. I didn’t care much for her Logan roll, I thought it was somewhat gruesome for a small kid to be performing mass mutilation murders/killings but I guess on some level her performance was pretty trandsformational on a shocking kind of level. I love her Lyra character along with her friendship with Roger was just so honest and sweet and refreshing. There are so many things to like about HDM the look of the show, plot twist, the very diverse cast..I loved the music theme/score. I have watch several interviews and other post of DK and I get a sense that see wants to grow up too fast…I saw an interview she did over this pass Xmas holiday and she said she was very tired and so over …playing kid/teen rolls…! I am like, maybe that’s because you are a Kid and now Teen. Think of it as a blessing that you had the opportunity at such a young age. Most of your fan base see you as a young teen because you are and thats ok Daf. Your breakout roll was playing a11 year old knife wilding Super killing machine for crying out loud!….I enjoyed seeing you in the roll of Lyra running around in that world and look forward to seeing what you do with the Starwars roll. Yet again another grand opportunity to display your talents.. a hey Daf, slow down, you have made it to the big time…..your an A lister…

Well after all Lyra Silvertongue and William Parry are soulmates. They just are too young to realise it and won't kiss until the end of their long adventure in Book 3. Maybe that's why they cast older actors. But I must admit, heh heh... they choose excellently with those two. Keen and Wilson make an awesome pair for the roles. And, they cast Ruth Wilson as Marisa Coulter, and she completely nailed the portrayal.
